After a good year in Kollywood, Trisha has turned her attention to cement her position as top heroine in Telugu. She rounded off 2008 with Abhiyum Naanum (Tamil) a 'multiplex' hit and Kuruvi (Tamil). In Telugu, she ended the year with the mega-hit King starring Nagarjuna. Now she has signed up a film with Gopichand, one of the hottest young Andhra hunks in recent years. With his unconventional good looks, Gopichand plays an angry young man very convincingly.Kajal Aggarwal was be Gopichand's heroine in his next movie directed by Siva (who had directed Souryam). But since her prior commitments didn't leave her with enough time for Gopichand's film, Kajal backed off and Trisha was selected.
This untitled film is unique for two reasons. One is that Trisha is acting with Gopichand for the first time and the other is that after over 20 years, Satyaraj is returning to Telugu films as Gopichand's father.
